Warm-up - Clean-up!

Let’s clean up Europe together!

Sport relies on an intact nature. That’s why in the eleventh and penultimate Count & Last project, we would like to motivate people to care for our environment through sport and fun. With the European Championships, we would like to leave a trail of cleanliness behind by putting out a call to collect rubbish together. In cooperation with the waste experts at rehab republic e.V., we will show cleaning up is fun and simple to integrate into a sport programme. In our toolkit we explain what plogging means, and introduce nine exciting warm-up games for sport groups or classes. The overall goal was to collect 222 rubbish bags. The highlight of the project was our Munich 2022 Clean-Up on 19 July, where we cleaned up together with our mascot Gfreidi the Königsplatz. At the end of the project, the most extraordinary piece of rubbish was awarded with tickets for the European Championships.

RE:BMW Circular Lab

RE:BMW Circular Lab

The aim of a circular economy is to counteract the one-way street of producing, consuming and then simply throwing things away. BMW World is offering young people aged 13-20 to take part in a workshop of the RE:BMW Circular Lab. In the workshops, curiosity will be aroused, and practical hands-on work will be required to produce circular lifestyle products from recycled plastic. Problem-solving and flexible thinking are also encouraged.
