As is the case with the senior competitions, the juniors will equally fight for all-around, team and individual medals. In the women’s events, athletes aged 14-15 years are eligible to participate, while in the men’s events, the eligible age is 14-18 years. Gymnasts who have participated in a Senior World Championships, Senior European Championships, World Cup/World Challenge Cup, or Multi-Sport Games, may not participate afterwards in junior competitions.

Qualifying including all-around and team final

A team consists of three to five gymnasts, of which up to four compete on each apparatus. The three best scores on each apparatus are accumulated for a team total on the respective apparatus. The national federations nominate their teams on each apparatus. The all-around and team medals will be awarded based on the qualifying.

The women’s junior qualifying will take place on Friday, 12 August, whilst the junior men will kick off their competition a week after, on 19 August.
